^{Kirisawa Naoki Sensei}

Kirisawa Naoki, 5th dan, has been our long-time mentor, guide, and friend. Kirisawa Sensei is one of Takeda Shihan’s senior students. From the Yokohama area, Kirisawa Sensei has been training aikido for almost 30 years with Takeda Shihan and his organization.

Kirisawa Sensei has been visiting AKI Pennsylvania every year since 1998. This is always a unique and rare opportunity for our small club as well as for other dedicated aikidoka in the area. His teaching style is traditional, deceptively simple, and straight to the point. His aikido is clear, dynamic, stunningly powerful, and great fun to experience.

Sensei’s visits to the USA are wonderfully challenging and transforming times for the Pennsylvania dojo. His visits also reflect the ongoing strong connection and support from Takeda Shihan in Japan to AKI North America.

We wish to extend an invitation to everyone, beginners and experienced aikidoko of any age, to visit and train with us any time.
